2027 Leaders of the Future Application Schedule

Since 2013 Impact 100 has been making a difference in shaping the philanthropic perspectives of women early in their public service career through our Leaders of the Future Program. The women selected each year receive full membership privileges through donations from members and other Impact 100 supporters. Their involvement enrich our grants process with their fresh perspectives and technical expertise, and many of these women have remained a member after their LOF year, with several of them serving on our committees and our governing board.

This year’s application schedule is:

  • October 12: Application Form is available
  • December 4: Applications Deadline
  • December 7-11: LOF Committee reviews applications
  • December 16: Final decisions are made
  • December 18: Offers go out to the selected applicants
  • December 31: Deadline for applicants to accept the LOF offer

2027 Grants Calendar

  • October 26, 2026: The Letter of Intent form becomes available on our website (the link will be available on our Home page)
  • November 2, 2026: FAC Chairs announce meeting times and locations. This information will be added to the outline below
  • November 5, 2026: Nonprofit Information Sessions:
  • November 9, 2026: The link to sign-up for FACs opens on the website
  • December 11, 2026, 5pm: Deadline for Letters of Intent to be submitted
  • January 4, 2027: Deadline for members to register for a 2027 Focus Area Committee
  • January 6, 2027: A FAC Orientation session will be made available for all new members (and anyone who wants a refresher) on FAC processes and requirements
  • January 11, 2027: Members who registered for a FAC are notified of their FAC assignment
  • January 18-24, 2027: First FAC meetings: Orientation and welcome
  • February 15-19, 2027: Second FAC meetings: Letters of Intent discussion
  • February 22, 2027: Nonprofits will be notified regarding the status of their LOI; those being asked to submit a full Grant Application will receive a link to the 2027 Application form
  • March 12, 2027: Full Grant Applications are due at 5pm
  • March 29-April 9, 2027: Third FAC meetings: Grant Application discussion
  • April 12-23, 2027: Site Visits and Fourth FAC meetings: FAC Finalist discussion
  • April 30, 2027: Nonprofits will be notified regarding the status of their Grant Application
  • May 11, 2027: Finalists Meeting with Grant Co-Chairs and Finalists to help Finalists prepare for their presentation to the 2027 Members at the Annual Celebration
  • May 21, 2027: Finalists information required for printed materials to be shared with the 2027 Members prior to the Annual Celebration
  • June 8, 2027: The 2027 Annual Celebration

Annual Calendar

To better understand our program, here is a basic overview of a typical year. It starts with June because that is the both the end and the beginning of our annual grant making.

June

  • Our Annual Awards Celebration with presentations by the nonprofits competing for our annual $100,000 grant. These presentations are followed by the Membership Vote and the announcement of the grant recipients. Keep an eye on the Annual Celebration page to keep yourself updated on planning for the current event and an overview of the previous one(s).
  • Membership enrollment unofficially begins at the Annual Celebration with prizes to members joining at the Celebration.

July

  • Vacation Month, no activities while the Board and members enjoy the summer.

August

  • Board Orientation
  • Committee Chair transitions

September

  • Official Membership Kickoff Event (location and timing varies)

October

November

  • Educational event featuring one or more past recipients.
  • Nonprofit Workshop for nonprofits interested in learning more about our grants and granting processes. There will be previous grant recipients as well as representatives from Impact 100 providing information and answering questions. Since we are an all-volunteer organization and it is difficult for us to respond quickly to individual questions, it is highly recommended that interested nonprofits attend this short workshop.

December

  • Due date for LOIs is in December. Look at the Grants Calendar for the exact date.
  • Holiday Party, with a method of Giving Back to previous grant recipient(s).
  • Deadline for submission of Leaders of the Future applications. Recipients are announced later in the month.
  • Deadline for LOI (Letter of Intent) from Central Indiana Nonprofits applying for our annual Change Maker Grant. See the current Granting Calendar for more information.
  • Deadline for members to register to serve on a Focus Area Committee (FAC) comes within the first week of December.
  • December 31 is the official deadline for registering for next year’s membership.

January

  • New Member Welcome/Orientation Event
  • First Focus Area Committee meetings to train FAC members and ensure they understand and agree to our Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest policies.

February

  • Second Focus Area Committee meetings to review Letters of Intent (LOIs)
  • Nonprofits notified if their Letter of Intent has been approved by a Focus Area Committee. Those with approved LOIs will be sent a link to the Grant Application form. New Member Welcome/Orientation Event.

March

  • Nonprofits asked to submit a full grant application must do so by the March deadline date. (Note: unsolicited grant applications are destroyed without review). See the current Granting Calendar for more information.
  • Increase Your Impact! Event at George’s Neighborhood Grill to bring members together to discuss supporting Impact 100 with more than their donations.

April

May

  • Change Maker Finalists Reception where the selected nonprofits learn more about being a Finalist, including important details regarding their presentations at the Annual Celebration.

June
