Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis strives to award high impact grants of $100,000 or more to at least one nonprofit in our community in one or more of the five focus areas. The amount of funds we have to award will be determined in January of each year and is based on the amount of money donated through memberships, the Leaders of the Future Program, and other donations to that year’s grant pool.

We use a four-step grant application process (Letter of Intent, Full Application, Site Visit and Finalist Presentation to Members) led by volunteer Impact members who winnow down the applicant pool in each of our focus areas. The recipient(s) will be announced at the Impact 100 Annual Celebration in June.

We do not accept grant requests outside of our annual review process. Links to online forms will be posted as they are finalized. Be certain to carefully review the four-step grant application process to fully understand how our grant process works and which forms nonprofits must complete by the deadlines indicated. Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis welcomes proposals from an organization classified as a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for supporting organizations.

Timeline for 2025 Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis Grants

October 25, 2024, Letter of Intent Form Available: The information and link to our LOI (Letter of Intent) is available on our website here. To be sure you receive notifications on our grant schedule each fall, you should sign up for our nonprofit contact list here.

November 6 and 7, 2024, Nonprofit Information Sessions: Each year we hold Nonprofit Information Sessions to provide information on our granting process and prepare attendees to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI), the first step in applying for a 2025 grant of $100,000.00. We hold two sessions to make them as accessible as possible, one via Zoom and one in person.

While you may have missed these sessions, we provide the following for those who would like to review the information presented:

November 8, 2024, FAC Sign-Up Opens: 2025 Members Can Sign Up for a 2025 Focus Area Committee. Participating in a focus area committee provides our members with unique insights into the challenges facing our community and the agencies that are working on solutions. FAC participation is not required, but our surveys consistently show that it is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an Impact 100 member. Any member, including those who are part of a shared membership, can join a FAC and shared member groups do not need to serve on the same committee. 2025 Members can click here to go to the FAC Sign-Up Form.

December 13, 2024,5pm: LOIs due. We recommend you attend one of the November Nonprofit Information Sessions (see above) to ensure you understand what we expect to learn from your LOI and hints on how to tell your story.

December 31: Membership Donations/Pledges due. It is our goal to have membership donations and/or pledges to make a membership donation by December 31 each year, allowing us to know the amount of the grant pool for the following year. Go to our Membership Info page for the details.

January 10, 2025: Deadline for 2025 Members to Sign Up for a 2025 Focus Area Committee. February 24, 2025: Nonprofits notified if their LOI has been approved. Those with approved LOIs will be sent a link to the 2025 Grant Application form.

March 14, 2025, 5pm: Full grant applications due (note: unsolicited grant applications are destroyed without review).

May 21, 2025: The Big Reveal: The Focus Area Committees announce their 2025 Change Maker Finalists.

June 17, 2025: Annual Awards Celebration with Presentations by the 2025 Grant Finalists, followed by the Membership Vote and the announcement of the 2025 Change-Makers! 

  • Please note, the date and location for The Annual Awards Celebration is still being negotiated and will be announced as soon as the contract is signed.
